What is a Certification Service?
When you want to gain an ISO certificate, you need to proof that your management system is compliant to the selected standard (e.g. ISO 27001 Standard). In order to do so, you need your QMS / ISMS or other type of management documentation audited by a certification body.
Steps for getting ISO certified
The first step is to apply for a certification audit with the certification body (e.g. Stratlane). Once you have provided the required information, the audit calculation team will estimate the number of audit days required. Then you receive the audit offer. Once you accept the offer and the audit terms, you can arrange with the certification body an audit appointment. The first audit of an organisation is usually broken down into Stage 1 and Stage 2. In Stage 1, the lead auditor inspects the management documentation to make sure, the complex audit stage 2 can be conducted in a reasonable manner.
