Job Description:
Certification bodies have a team called Competence Development Service. This team has a multi-function role:
On the one hand you will act as a recruiter looking for auditors and technical experts. Once you have a candidate you need to validate their qualifications (e.g. check their CV, training certificates, audit experience, etc.). Eventually you might find that they match the expectations of Stratlane. From here on, you are switching your role to a Competence Coordinator.
Every new auditor joining a certification company must attend some special inhouse trainings, as well as accompanying audit teams a given number of days. They you coordinate the monitoring, so that a senior auditor makes sure the new auditor is fit for the job. After that you check all completed items and suggest the candidate to be appointed as an auditor.
During this time you might sometimes act a bit like a career coach. Since your work gets you in contact with candidates from different countries, your language skills might be helpful.
Many of these candidates will be working from home, so that you will communicate with most of them by phone or video calls or email. Nevertheless, you may be partly based in one of our offices and in your home office, allowing you for a more balanced work-life where family remains an important part of your life.
Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for finding and communicating with potential candidates for roles as ISO Auditor and Technical Expert. As potential auditors get in contact with you, you are there to guide them through the process to becoming competent auditors. When you see it necessary, you can assign trainings to those candidates to increase their level of audit competence. You will coordinate trainee assignments for them in cooperation with the project managers and audit coordinators. You will document their training progress as well as pre-evaluate their readiness for appointment as accredited auditors. You will submit the readiness report to the certification managers to get the candidates appointed. From there on, you keep an eye on their qualifications and remind new auditors about their need to update their skills and knowledge.
